THE THIRD ORDER

The Modern Mystery School is a pure and unbroken lineage that has been carefully transmitted through those who rise through extraordinary service and self-mastery to become Master Teachers and Lineage Holders. These Lineage Holders of the school comprise an administrative body called The Third Order.

The name for the Third Order is not linked to there being three lineage holders, rather there are a minimum of three lineage holders needed for this administrative order and the title comes from the Kabbalistic idea of the flow of energy coming from spirit at the top of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, signified by a glyph in which there is a balance of three immutable and incorruptible energies coming together as one integrated and radiant force.

Gudni Gudnason

Founder of the Moder Modern Mystery School, he was granted this mission from the inner Mystery School lineage of King Salomon, to create this public-facing branch of the lineage in 1997. As the Founder of this school, he has been given the honorific of "Founder" out of the immense gratitude of his students who are the beneficiaries of his high level of dedication. Within the lineage, his other title is Sovereign Ipsissimus.

As a master teacher of esoteric and metaphysical keys, he teaches through allegory, symbolism and  dialectic teachings that unfold over time and provoke his students to develop discernment, and through this, the deeper lesson is revealed.

Dave Lanyon

Leader of the Modern Mystery School for the Western world, he has earned the highest initiation in this tradition and the title of Sovereign Ipsissimus. As such, he has all the keys to anchor the lineage and the mission of the mystery school.

Through his business acumen, guidance, and dedication to the mission, he has expanded the school to accommodate exponential growth while faithfully preserving the original teachings and the integrity of the lineage. As a world-class martial artist and Ritual Master teacher, he leads the Warriors of Light, the martial arts branch of the school which, maintains the esoteric teachings deep within the martial arts practices.

He is a master teacher of Hermetic and Esoteric wisdom with a very down-to-earth way of transmitting high-level teachings, revealing the practical benefits of the teachings and how they can be applied in daily life. Although his communication is stylistically simple, he utilizes his highly developed intuition to teach to the level of each student while simultaneously planting seeds for future understanding, as well as cultivating discernment and assisting students in responding to the world with greater equanimity.
