Unlocking the Secret Healing Power of Crystals
In this article, we will explore the metaphysical properties of a few crystals that are relatively easy to obtain, and their use in conjunction with numerology as well as their use by Metaphysicians.
Of all the uses of crystals, the most catalytic are the ancient metaphysical healing rites that have been passed down through lineage teachings quietly for thousands of years.
In these ancient teachings, clear quartz is often used in conjunction with other natural materials to form a "wand" that, when used by trained initiates, harnesses the deep hidden power of crystals to release imbalances and facilitate a return to the state of wholeness.
Crystals have been used throughout the ages in ceremony and have been found in the ruins of ancient Babylon, as well as ancient Egyptian and Chinese tombs.
Each crystal holds a specific vibratory signature; and metaphysically crystals are used to raise vibrations to provide support, with smaller pieces used as talismans and larger pieces used to anchor a particular frequency in larger area, such as a room.
Within the last 40 years,, they have been appropriated in the creation of singing bowls for their ability to amplify positive energetic frequencies.
Crystals and Numerology:
Crystals vibrate to a particular numerical frequency and those crystals that align to one's personal numerology are said to provide support for the actualization of one's life mission. Below is a standard numerological chart and following this is a list of a selection of crystals with their corresponding vibratory number followed by their metaphysical properties.

To use the chart, match the numbers with the letters of one's name.
Metaphysical Properties of Crystals:
Amythest (3) - is a type of quartz and is considered the stone of royalty, not only for its purple color but because it transmutes lower frequency energy into higher frequencies and represents complete metamorphosis. It is said to engender the royal qualities of stability, strength, and peace; while balancing the intellectual, emotional, and physical body. Purple is also thought to correspond to the "crown" chakra and amethyst is said to open and activate this chakra and can be used in meditation for this purpose. Amethyst has also been said to offer protection against psychic attacks.
Aquamarine (1) - is a variety of beryl and is called the stone of courage. It aids in the understanding of the self as well as the assimilation of the one's surroundings. Blue is considered the color of the throat chakra and aquamarine is said to activate and open the throat chakra facilitating and elevating communication abilities.
Citrine (6) - is a type of quartz and is known as the "merchant's stone" for its ability to assist in acquiring and maintaining financial wealth. It is known to dispel and transmute negative energies rather than collecting them; therefore, it is one of the few stones that does not need cleansing. Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra and citrine is thought to open and activate the solar plexus assisting in the strengthening of personal power, initiative, and decisiveness.
Malachite (9) - according to Melody, a scientist and author of, what is considered by many to be the crystal bible, "Love is in the Earth"
Malachite is, " 'a stone of transformation', assisting one in changing situations, and providing for the transfer of sacred information leading to spiritual evolution." It has been said to assist with the ability to mentally break down the steps towards a desired goal. Malachite has an activating effect on all chakras.
Moldavite (2/6) - is a type of meteoric glass from outer space that formed when falling to earth over fifteen million years ago. Moldavite does not get its name from Moldova, rather it is named after the Moldau River in the Czech Republic where most of the deposits are found. Moldavite assists in bringing about a deeper sense of oneness not only with our brothers and sisters here on planet Earth but also intergalactically. Moldavite is relatively soft and therefore, should not be cleansed with salt, and to charge moldavite, it should be left outside during a meteor shower.
Peridot (5/6/7) - is generally light to dark variations of yellow-green and is also known as olivine. It is said to assist in the opening and activation of both the heart and solar plexus chakras, whose colors are green and yellow respectively. The increased openness of these chakras relates to the belief that peridot is thought to strengthen the organs of the body which are most influenced by the energetic function of the heart. Likewise, peridot is thought to stimulate increased openness and acceptance (emotions related to the heart). And wearing peridot, is said to protect the wearer from negative/lower vibratory influences.
Pyrite (3) - also known as "fool's gold", pyrite is said to protect the wearer against various forms of negative energy. When put in the four corners of a room, it is said to have similar shielding abilities.
Clear quartz (4) - is considered one of the best amplifiers of energy and thoughts; and has been used by metaphysicians for its ability to focus, transfer, and transform energy. It has been used to open and activate the crown, the third eye, and the heart chakras. It is called "the king of crystals" and "the master healer" because of its reputation for both efficacy and versatility in the metaphysical healing arts.
According to Melody, in "Love is in the Earth",
"Quartz is said to bring the energy of the stars into the soul." She also notes that quartz has been used by the Native American tribes, the African tribes, the ancient Egyptians, the Mayans, Aztecs, the Australian Aboriginal tribes, the Romans, Scots, Celts, Tibetan Buddhists, and the Brahmans of India for healing and raising consciousness.”
The Modern Mystery School holds all the keys to these ancient healings through an ancient Solomonic lineage, and these healings are administered today to clear physical and emotional trauma and promote wellbeing and progression.
Rose Quartz (7) - is a variety of quartz that has been used for attunement to the energy of love and is known for promoting peaceful energy of self-love and self-acceptance and this kindness can then radiate out to others. When placed on the heart chakra it can assist in harmonizing the physical heart.
Selenite (8) - is crystalized gypsum and therefore, is one mineral that should not be exposed to water as water could damage the crystals and submersion in water will cause erosion. Selenite has been said to have a clarifying and expanding affect on the level of self-awareness. When used by a practitioner trained in the ancient healing arts, it has a soothing effect while assisting in the release of old energies that cloud the aura, during a session.
Smoky quartz (2/8) - is a type of quartz that is most often used to dispel negative energy and negative emotions both within the self and without and for that reason it is considered a stone of protection. Additionally, it is said to facilitate grounding; enhance focus on the "now"; and dissolve mental blockages that limit one's perceptions.
Crystal Healing
Crystal healing to release negativity, grief, and trauma, has been practiced by mystery schools versed in metaphysics for thousands of years. Closed-door orders are in Tibet, Japan, Romania, England, Australia, Africa, and North America (with the last three being tribal in origin). In 1997, the North American order opened its doors to the public, operating as the Modern Mystery School. Practitioners are trained in various modalities that use crystals to flow healing frequencies into the auric and etheric fields for the release of negative emotional and thought energies for to regain authenticity, clarity, and emotional equipoise.
The modality known as a Life-Activation utilizes a wand made of sage wood, wrapped in natural hide with a clear quartz crystal attached. Clear quartz, known for its metaphysical properties of amplifying and focusing energy, is used to powerfully release negativity and rebalance the etheric field by transmitting higher frequencies as light energy. This transference of light energy frequencies is reliant on a skilled metaphysical practitioner initiated in the lineage teachings. The procedure is said to harmonize the energy systems and assist in bringing about greater levels of self-realization through increased clarity.

The use of polished stones - primarily quartz varieties - for work on the aura is another lineage modality handed down by the mystery school. With this, an initiated practitioner activates the stones to vibrate at a frequency to bring about the release of low energetic frequencies that manifest as issues such as, emotional pain, old woundings, issues with overthinking or negative thinking, or to ameliorate mental chatter - also known as quieting the mind.
These gemstones are activated by the practitioner in the crystal healing modality handed down by the Modern Mystery School. The modality originated from advanced teachings on sacred geometry.
Another modality, called Etheric Reconstruction, also employs wands. For this modality the wand bases made of crystal, such as rose quartz or amethyst, or metals like silver and copper with a clear quartz tip to release "stickier" negative energy from the etheric field.
